Semple Mansion is one of the oldest mansions in Minneapolis and one of the most classic wedding venues that we have in Minnesota. It was the perfect backdrop for Alexa and George’s wedding ceremony and reception! On June 1st, Semple Mansion was filled with love, laughter and one of the most thoughtful couples I have had the pleasure to work with!

I was hired by Alexa and her wonderful mom, Jules to assist in designing and coordinating the day of the wedding. We met numerous times to discuss floorplans, logistics and vendors. The one thing that always struck me about Alexa as her down to earth attitude and her kind personality. Her goal for the wedding was simply to marry George and celebrate with all of her loved ones.

I have always loved working with Geneoh photography, but this wedding in particular makes me appreciate his amazing photo journalism. He captures moments in such a striking way!

Semple Mansion in Minneapolis was made for fall and winter weddings! We have been working here for years and I am always stunned at the beauty of this historic Minneapolis Mansion! When Ally and Grant called me to plan their wedding we quickly narrowed down the venues that would work for their ceremony and reception and the vintage and classic feel of Semple Mansion was perfect for the couple.

Ally picked a color palette filled with Beautiful fall colors including burgundy, wine, gold and lots of nude floral accented by greens. It was a perfect compliment to the season as well as to the venue. The stationery really solidified the look and feel of the wedding with a unique dark tones.

Anjali and Benjamin’s wedding took place on a beautiful July day at the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis! The day was full of love, tradition and stunning decor!! I first met Anjali right after she booked Semple Mansion for her wedding and she needed help planning the rest of the event because she lived in Chicago and was busy going to Medical School… all while Benjamin was in Wisconsin also going to school.. so their planning trips back to town were not only a time for them to meet with me.. but also a time for them to get to see each other!!!

Annie and Michael- There is SO much to love about this wedding! AMAZING Floral, a Bride in one of the prettiest dresses ever, heartfelt vows and of course Lyla, their Frenchie!!! I met Annie’s mom Donna last summer when I was working a wedding on Bay Lake and she was doing the floral. I was in awe of how beautiful her floral was and I instantly fell in love with Donna!! When we were done setting up she told me that her daughter was getting married at the Semple Mansion next summer and then she asked if I was available to help.. I was so excited that the date was still open and that I could be of assistance on the big day!!!

When Donna and Annie hired me I knew that the decor was going to be amazing because Donna was doing the floral, but I really had no idea that it was going to look as great as it did! The bright colors really complimented the Semple Mansion and Annie’s eclectic California style was brought to life in the stationary, the “seed packet” escort cards and in the floral. Annie has an infectious smile and as you can tell from these fantastic photos from Laura Ivanova I don’t think Annie will ever stop smiling at Michael!!
