Aspen and Joey were one of my favorite weddings from last year at Aria in Minneapolis. Aspen and Joey hired Lasting Impressions to assist in the wedding design as well as coordinating the day of the wedding. The Design and Day of Package is one of my favorite services we offer because I love to take clients ideas for what they would like the day to look like and make it come to life!

We started by using cooper as an accent color and metallic in the invitation design as well as in the vases and accent pieces. PHOS was hired to create a beautiful light installation about the ceremony and the head table. The Patrick Lenz band was brought in from Kansas City to entertain the wedding guests well into the night!!!

Semple Mansion is one of the oldest mansions in Minneapolis and one of the most classic wedding venues that we have in Minnesota. It was the perfect backdrop for Alexa and George’s wedding ceremony and reception! On June 1st, Semple Mansion was filled with love, laughter and one of the most thoughtful couples I have had the pleasure to work with!

I was hired by Alexa and her wonderful mom, Jules to assist in designing and coordinating the day of the wedding. We met numerous times to discuss floorplans, logistics and vendors. The one thing that always struck me about Alexa as her down to earth attitude and her kind personality. Her goal for the wedding was simply to marry George and celebrate with all of her loved ones.

I have always loved working with Geneoh photography, but this wedding in particular makes me appreciate his amazing photo journalism. He captures moments in such a striking way!

When people first hear that I am a wedding planner the first question I normally get is “What is the craziest story that you have?” I understand the interest in all of the “crazy stories” but I wish that instead of asking me about crazy stories people would ask me about why I love my job. One big reason I love my job would be “Families”.

Everyday I get to work with and become part of amazing families and one of my favorite have been the Saunders Family. The whole family is so welcoming, nice, HAPPY, thoughtful and I have enjoyed every email, every call, every meeting that I have had over the years with this tight knit family.

I have had the joy of knowing Rachel’s family for years now, after I assisted with planning Mindy and Ryan’s wedding a few years ago (It feels like yesterday) and when I got the call from Debbie that Rachel was engaged I was so excited!

Rachel and Billy wanted to create a beautiful, fun and classic wedding and we brought on a fantastic team of vendors to help create this vision including Aria, Janelle Elise Photography, Linen Effects,Paper Rock Scissors and Munster Rose!

A Classic and Elegant Hutton House Wedding… Thats what I would use to describe Sarah and Will’s Wedding and both of their personal styles.. Classic and Elegant!

Planning with Sarah and Will was a breeze. She was decisive, had a vision of what she wanted and also knew a handful of vendors that she wanted to use. We first met at the Hewing Hotel for coffee and to start to get to know each other and instantly I knew that this “Sarah and Sarah” team would have a lot of fun together!!

Sarah and Will chose Hutton House for their ceremony and reception. It was still very new when they booked the venue and they were excited about the outdoor space for the ceremony and the possibilities for decor at the venue. The wedding day proved to be one of the most stressful I have ever endured due to the weather. All day we had a 50-70% chance of rain and we decided to “go for it” and try and do the wedding outside. I have never checked my phone so much in one day… and Thankfully for us.. It did not rain.. NOT all day!!

Sarah loved all of the details.. She wanted a boxwood backdrop for photos, she loved the idea of hanging greenery and chandlier’s, she wanted a live band, We brought in a greenery motif on her invitations and day of stationery. But the thing that I will always remember most about Sarah is that she really focused on the things that mattered… Will, Her friends and her family and just really being present in the moment and taking in this ONE day that goes by so quickly!!!

Lauryn and Tommy’s JX Event Center wedding was the perfect “kick-off” to wedding season in March!!!! There was just enough snow on the ground for perfect photos, yet spring was on the way and Lauryn’s choice of bridesmaids dresses made everyone really crave the spring temperatures!!!

JX Event Center was a great backdrop for our elegant chandeliers, greenery and beautiful lilac flowers and linens!! Lake Elmo Inn is one of my favorite caterers and every time we get to go over to the East Side of the cities I am always so excited to get to use their catering services!!

Jimmy and Lindsay’s wedding day was such a memorable and special day and we are lucky that Alma Films was there to capture this Hutton House Wedding Video! Lindsay and Jimmy transformed Hutton House into a winter wonderland… bringing in Evergreen Trees and adding lots of holiday touches! Just before the ceremony the snow started and it resulted into beautiful photos and a memory I will never forget!
