Bloom Lake Barn Wedding

Rachelle and Pete were married on a beautiful (and Seasonly WARM) September Sunday at Bloom Lake Barn in Shafer, Minnesota. I was very excited to assist in this wedding not only because they were having a brunch wedding complete with Mimosa’s, Bloody Mary’s and Donuts!! But also because it was the first time I was able to work at Bloom Lake Barn. We rarely get hired for Barn wedding, but they are always some of my favorite, After all, I did grow up on a farm!

Rachelle and Pete really wanted to do things different then the typical Saturday night wedding and having a brunch wedding allows you to really be creative and customize all of the little details to be a reflection upon your style and personalities! I was also lucky enough to get to work with Kelly Birch for the first time… What a talented photographer and such a fun person to be around! Thank you to all of the vendors that made this wedding truly a Sunday Funday!

Bright, Beautiful and SO Summery… Just looking at Dana and Brandon’s Wedding photos makes me want to go back to this PERFECT June Day in Stillwater!! I am the type of person that is a little intimidated with color. I tend to live in a pewter world; but when it is peony season I can COMPLETELY get behind lots of bold and bright colors and it was SO much fun to get to help Dana and Brandon design and plan their big day!!!

When we toured JX Event Venue it was still a construction site, but we knew from the minute we walked in that it was perfect for the fun and festive feel that Dana and Brandon wanted for their big day.  Sadie’s Couture Flowers and Events spent at least NINE long hours hanging floral pieces and designs from all of the exposed beams to add a whimsy element to an already lovely space!! The staff at JX Event Venue was unbelievable! I am so happy that we have a few more weddings booked there next year!

I have had the pleasure of knowing the wonderful CLARK family for years and I am so honored to plan all 3 of their daughters weddings! They are a FUN family that not only has great style, but they really trust all of their vendors to make their vision come together!  There are plenty of times that I am describing “fun ideas” and I realize that clients have no idea what I am envisioning, until they see it on their wedding day and luckily for me.. they are always very happy with the finished product!!!  Thank you for always trusting me and for letting me be apart of your family!! Like so many other Minnesotan’s “Going Up North” is not just a fun summer vacation, but it is really an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. That is exactly what Erin and Ross’s wedding felt like to me! Even though out of town weddings pose a lot of additional challenges for wedding vendors, I jumped at the chance to be apart of Erin and Ross’s intimate wedding celebration at Madden’s on Gull Lake.

Erin’s family has had a cabin on Gull Lake all of her life and she really wanted to share the love of the lake with all of her guests. Erin and Ross were also traveling for this destination wedding from Texas, so most of our planning was done in marathon planning sessions and lots and lots of emails 🙂

Their wedding day was one of the most beautiful days of the summer and with the help of all of our amazing vendors that traveled many miles to help with this wedding…It was a picture perfect day on the lake!!!!

I had met Kelsey a few years ago when she was working at Lafayette Club as a server. When she emailed me to tell me that she wanted to hire us for her big day… She told me that she remembered the wedding we had coordinated at the club and how everything went perfectly and she knew that she wanted us their on the big day… What a HUGE compliment!!!! Kelsey’s attention to detail while planning the wedding was shown through all of her beautiful decor and thoughtful little details. Arts and Flowers did a FANTASTIC job with all of the blush and white florals!!
