lasting impressions weddings is an award-winning minnesota wedding planning and design company

I get writer’s block ALOT.. especially in the midst of wedding season when I am consumed with finalizing numbers, updating timelines, running rehearsals and marathoning on wedding days! Its hard to sit down and focus on blogging beautiful images and finding the RIGHT words to explain what special families mean to me and my business! And that is exactly what happened with Sarah and Jameson’s Hutton House wedding blog post! I received these images about two weeks after the wedding (yes, its true that these beautiful images get created that quickly – Janelle.. I love you!!)  And I looked at them… Instagrammed them and then waited until I found the perfect time to sit down and write about them 🙂

While I still do not have the perfect words to explain what a joy it was to work with Amy (the wonderful mother of the Bride) on every step of this wedding. She not only had to play the mother of the bride but because Sarah (the bride) was playing professional volleyball in Italy.. she had to be the interpreter and main decision maker on every little detail.. and she NAILED it!! Her attention to detail and unwavering trust in my opinion and expertise made this experience so much fun for me to coordinate!!

We planned the wedding in a little under 10 months and the first thing we decided on was The Hutton House for the ceremony and reception. I was excited that this would be my first wedding at the brand new, beautiful venue. When we choose the Hutton House they were still under construction and that not only requires a lot of trust from couples booking the space.. but it also creates a lot of work for all vendors involved since it is a space that they have never worked in; Luckily for us, The owners of Hutton House designed a beautiful venue filled with essential elements for a flawless ceremony and reception.

Because of the size of our wedding, we decided to bring in farm tables from Apres to maximize our seating and to also bring some color to the space. The moment I saw the fireplace I knew that we needed to create a wood monogram to tie in our invitation suite and to become the focal point of the cocktail hour space. Sadie’s floral created a stunning entrance to the venue with hanging greenery and lush lanterns to welcome all of the guests! After a Horrible Minnesota Spring, May 4th was absolutely stunning and the perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony (and renewed my trust in Minnesota for a few weeks 🙂

My stories could go on and on.. but everyone just wants to see photos of this beautiful day!! To both the Wilhite and Parson’s Family. THANK YOU for letting me be apart of your family for a few months and I truly enjoyed every minute!!!
