When people first hear that I am a wedding planner the first question I normally get is “What is the craziest story that you have?” I understand the interest in all of the “crazy stories” but I wish that instead of asking me about crazy stories people would ask me about why I love my job. One big reason I love my job would be “Families”.

Everyday I get to work with and become part of amazing families and one of my favorite have been the Saunders Family. The whole family is so welcoming, nice, HAPPY, thoughtful and I have enjoyed every email, every call, every meeting that I have had over the years with this tight knit family.

I have had the joy of knowing Rachel’s family for years now, after I assisted with planning Mindy and Ryan’s wedding a few years ago (It feels like yesterday) and when I got the call from Debbie that Rachel was engaged I was so excited!

Rachel and Billy wanted to create a beautiful, fun and classic wedding and we brought on a fantastic team of vendors to help create this vision including Aria, Janelle Elise Photography, Linen Effects,Paper Rock Scissors and Munster Rose!

Minnesota Orchestra Hall Wedding

Kelsey and Kyle.. where to start, where to start???! Gosh, I love this couple so much and when I saw their wedding images I started to tear up going through all of the fun moments of the day!! You see, Kelsey is incredibly organized, super thoughtful and had an eagle eye on the vision of her day from the very beginning. She was a dream bride and I was happy to help her co-pilot the planning with her so that she could relax on the day of the wedding and just live in the moment!!

When Kelsey and Kyle hired me to be their planner they already had booked Orchestra Hall and I was very excited that they choose this venue for many reasons.. including the fact that I had never worked there before (which after 800 weddings, its hard to believe we have not been at a venue before!!). She hired Sadie’s Floral to string greenery through Orchestra Hall and Paper Rock Scissors brought all of the stationery details together in the Menu Cards, Signage and custom Ice Cream cups for the Sebastian Joes Dessert (YUM!!)

Aria Minneapolis Warehouse Wedding

This  wedding…. Is really one for the books!! I often get asked.. are you doing anything really unique this year..and this was one time I could say “YES!!!” The day that I sat down with Maggie and Jared to go over their decor ideas I was on cloud nine!!!

Maggie is an interior designer and loves to really push the envelope to try something fun and unique. She kept saying “I want something really unique and different that has not been done before.” And that is easy to do when you really trust your vendors. With the help of Sadie’s Couture Flowers and Events, Linen Effects, Girl Friday and Paper Rock Scissors we were able to create a cohesive and unique vision featuring pampas grass, Candles, Unique Textures, Balloons and Chandeliers.

This past summer we have had the pleasure of being at the new Venue in Minneapolis, The  Machine Shop a few different times and we love how the venue transforms for each couples vision and style. Jamie and Sam planned their wedding while leaving on the East Coast and traveling a lot for work… not only is that a lot to take on, but Jamie was the DIY queen. She not only bought all of her own linens, made all of her own stationery, her mom even sewed all 300 of the pink napkins so that they could be the perfect shade of pink!!!
I had a lot of fun getting to know Jamie, Sam and both of their families! They not only planned a wonderful wedding, but they also planned numerous days of lake activities to let their guests take advantage of the beautiful Minnesota Summer!!!

Ashley and Seth’s wedding day was filled with family, friends and Lots of Beautiful and classic decor!! The couple planned their wedding from North Dakota with a few trips back to Minneapolis to finalize plans with vendors. From the minute I met Ashley I knew that I really had a good understanding of the style of wedding she wanted and the classic look and feel she was hoping to achieve!

Ashley may have been an only child.. but it was VERY clear that including her friends, family and cousins in her wedding was really important to her. She had a heart of gold and always put everyone else feelings ahead of her own during the whole planning process and the wedding was perfect with 6 bridesmaids, 4 junior bridesmaids, 2 personal attendants, 4 usherettes and 1 flower girl! We had a lot of girl power and beautiful women involved in the big day!!!

Sadie’s Couture Flowers and Events and Apres out did themselves transforming Aria for close to 400 guests (a feat that we did a few times in 2017!!). Ashley and Seth’s stationery by Paper Rock Scissors was classic gold foil and letterpress and reflected the overall look perfectly!

It was a beautiful day and I am so happy that we have these beautiful images by Jaimee Morse to remember all of the beauty!!
