Minikahda Club Wedding – Katie and Luke

It was a perfect Spring day when Katie and Luke tied the knot at Our Lady of Grace and then partied the night away at The Minikahda Club !!! This was one of the first weddings of the year and it was such a good way to start the year off right!! Katie was very Type A (I love that..and can relate!!) and my goal is that she would not have to think about a thing on the day and she would be able to let go and just enjoy herself.. and I think that it worked 🙂

Beautiful whites and greens accented the new Minikahda Club Wallpaper and decor perfectly and was the perfect way to start off spring!! My favorite part of their wedding was probably the late night snacks from McDonalds.. when I went to pick up 100 cheeseburgers and fries I got lots of strange looks from other McDonalds customers and I received a lot of rave reviews from guests!!

Graves 601 and Nazareth Chapel Wedding – Sara and Rod

It only seems fitting to start the year with this beautiful wedding and end the year with a blog about it!!!! Sara and Rod were married on May 5th at Norwestern College with their reception following at Graves 601 Hotel. It feels like only yesterday we were planning this amazing wedding and this will always be one of my favorite weddings to design!! I loved that Sara never was afraid to take chances with her wedding decor and take a lot of BOLD elements together to become a fun, contempary and festive wedding reception!!!

Landmark Center Wedding – Lindsay and John

Its always hard for me to pair down images on my computer.. It am a wedding photo hoarder.. even though I know I only need to keep a handful from each wedding to show details, remember my couples and use for blog images.. I somehow bog down every computer with 100-200 saved photos from every wedding that I can never part with.. and this wedding is no different!!!

Lindsay and John were married at the Landmark Center on a chilly fall day! I started to assist Lindsay with her wedding planning a year before the big day since she lived in Boston and was planning everything remotely! She had a lot of fun ideas that she wanted to tie into the decor along with a lot of personalized elements from her and John’s relationship. Guests signed a framed collage of all of their “ticket stubs” since they are avid sports and theater fans. Hockey pucks doubled as the placards since they met while working for the Boston Bruins Sales team (check out their fun bling from when the Bruins won the Stanley Cup!!) And tables were named after different streets… and these were displayed on mini street signs! My favorite element was however the beautiful flower wall that was given to Lindsay from the Ralph Lauren store and she shipped it all back to MN to use as a ceremony backdrop!!!

You will notice that Lindsay and John have a smile that is contagious and I am sure they are going to be laughing for many, many years to come!!

Semple Mansion Wedding – Anjali and Ben

Anjali and Benjamin’s wedding took place on a beautiful July day at the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis! The day was full of love, tradition and stunning decor!! I first met Anjali right after she booked Semple Mansion for her wedding and she needed help planning the rest of the event because she lived in Chicago and was busy going to Medical School… all while Benjamin was in Wisconsin also going to school.. so their planning trips back to town were not only a time for them to meet with me.. but also a time for them to get to see each other!!!
