Lafayette Club Wedding

Not all weddings day bring sunshine and great weather, and that is exactly what happened on Ashley and Tommy’s wedding day at Lafayette Club in June! But it would take a little bit more then rain to stop this group from celebrating! After a morning of heavy rain the skies cleared up just in time to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the lawn at Lafayette Club followed by photos on shore of Lake Minnetonka!

Semple Mansion in Minneapolis was made for fall and winter weddings! We have been working here for years and I am always stunned at the beauty of this historic Minneapolis Mansion! When Ally and Grant called me to plan their wedding we quickly narrowed down the venues that would work for their ceremony and reception and the vintage and classic feel of Semple Mansion was perfect for the couple.

Ally picked a color palette filled with Beautiful fall colors including burgundy, wine, gold and lots of nude floral accented by greens. It was a perfect compliment to the season as well as to the venue. The stationery really solidified the look and feel of the wedding with a unique dark tones.

This wedding… Wow!!! Thats all I can say!!! I was so honored when Bailey and Matt hired us to help plan their June wedding. Not only did I feel an immmediate connection with Bailey , but I also loved how she trusted the vendors that she hired!!

At the first meeting, Bailey and Matt had a handful of inspiration photos of what they were looking for in terms of decor. Those inspiration photos then turned into sketches and ideas put on paper by Sadies Floral and PHOS Events.

Luckily for all of us, the sketch turned into a beautiful reality and on a Sunday afternoon in June Aria was transformed into a space filled with hanging chandeliers, hanging flowers, a hanging chuppa and lots and lots of beautiful white flowers and candles!!

There are few events that truly take my breath away after planning 800 weddings.. and this was one that did, not only because it was beautiful, but also because Bailey and Matt trusted the vision and never quesitoned all of the crazy sketches and mockups we made 🙂

Machine Shop Wedding

When I first met with Heather, about a year before her wedding, she already had a great idea of what she wanted her wedding to look like and how she wanted it to feel for her guests.The couple had booked the Machine Shop for her wedding reception and they had already hired a handful of awesome vendors. I was lucky enough to get to work together with her to bring the rest of her vision to life!

Heather knew she wanted to add a lot of soft colors and elements to the decor to soften The Machine Shop’s Industrial Look. Kindred Blooms was the perfect florist to bring all of Heather’s Visions together! They incorporated soft fabrics, hanging floral and ribbons to create a 3D ceiling installation that turned the Machine Shop’s industrial space into a whimsical wedding venue.  Trees were added along the sides of the stage to bring an element of the outdoors inside. Paper Rock Scissors and Farina brought tied all of the elements together in the stationery and dessert designs.

The ceremony took place at St. Thomas Chapel, which held a lot of special meaning to both Heather and Guiseppe since they both attended college there!

We had the privilege of working alongside Russell Heeter and John Hoel who captured all of the elements of the day (Love these guys!!) and Good for Gary certainly got the party of the dance floor! The weather was perfect and I could not have enjoyed working with Heather, Giuseppe and  her mom planning this beautiful wedding!!

I had the honor of helping Melissa and David plan their June wedding at Aria in Minneapolis and let me tell you.. I just loved working with this fun family!! It all started last year when I had the honor of planning Melissa’s sister Jenni’s wedding at Nicollet Island Pavillion. Two sisters getting married 8 months apart…. now that’s a busy year for all of the friends and family involved!!

When Melissa hired us she already had the venue and a handful of vendors.. so our services were geared toward helping her and David design the wedding they had envisioned in Aria. Melissa ended up picking a very soft mauve bridesmaids dress color and we geared most of the floral and stationery to this fresh, summery color palette. It helped to soften up the very industrial and dark wedding venue to make it feel like a secret garden in the middle of the city. The hanging greenery and lights structure by PHOS and Sadie’s Floral was the piece that I thought gave the most impact to the room. It not only helped to lighten up the space, but also gave a beautiful and magical feel to the space!
