As the summer starts to draw to an end (How did that happen!!) I realize that I have not blogged much at all. I still have some beautiful weddings from last summer to get on the blog and Anna and Henry’s wedding is one of them (and it is their anniversary in a few days!!!) YAY!!!
Anna called me about 2 months before their big day and I was explaining to her that I was already pretty full for the year and I was not sure if I was going to take on any more weddings. However, since hers was on a Friday and she had some amazing vendors I felt the need to talk to her more about it. And I instantly knew when I spoke to her that I wanted to work with her and help pull together her final details for her VERY well planned wedding!!
I loved her perspective on what a wedding should be.. she wanted this day to be able to celebrate with friends and family and she did not really care about a lot of extra “fluff”! They picked Cafe Lurcat for their wedding reception because Henry owns a restaurant and they always knew they wanted a more intimate feel vs. a standard hotel ballroom or reception space. When they picked Lurcat they knew that they would not have to do a lot of decorating or design since all of it was already so beautiful!! So Anna and Henry stuck to the elements they cared the most about.. they wanted good entertainment and good food.. and THEY had it.. and the wedding was filled with so much laughter (and lots of martinis 🙂
